Honoring the Bond:

Pet Therapy, Grief Counseling & Professional Consultation

Specialized Services with a Licensed Psychologist

Has your life been changed by the love you share with an animal companion?

Our practice specializes in the human–animal bond and understands how deeply this significant loss can affect every aspect of your life. When you’re facing complex thoughts, overwhelming emotions, or difficulty moving forward after loss, we offer compassionate pet loss therapy and grief counseling with a licensed psychologist.

Our goal is to support you through the bereavement process with genuine care, insight, and professional guidance—so you don’t have to navigate this profound life experience alone.

If you are experiencing any of the following, we are here to help:

  • Intense sadness, emptiness, or sense of emotional numbness

  • Guilt, self-blame, or second-guessing medical or end-of-life circumstances

  • Grief following euthanasia, sudden loss, illness, or a traumatic event resulting in death

  • Anger, shock, or lingering “what if” thoughts about how your animal companion transitioned

  • Loved ones’ concerns about your emotional well-being since the loss

  • Recent loss triggering a complex trauma history and mental health symptoms

  • Feeling misunderstood, unsupported, or judged by others

  • Difficulty returning to daily routines including changes to sleep, appetite and concerns with focus

  • A deep sense of loneliness and change in life since the loss

Because pet loss grief is often misunderstood or minimized, many people find themselves grieving in silence. The bond you share with your animal companion is real, meaningful, and deeply significant. Working with a licensed psychologist who specializes in this unique loss provides a safe space to process grief with compassion, validation, and guided support.

We provide accessible and convenient telehealth therapy as well as professional subject matter expertise consultation services for clients located in the US and abroad.

We support pet parents of all companion species, as well as veterinarians and animal care professionals whose lives and identities are deeply connected to the animals they love. Whether you’re grieving an emotional support companion, loss of a soul pet, anticipating loss, or managing the emotional demands of caring for animals in a professional role, we offer compassionate, knowledgeable support tailored to your unique circumstances.
